SUMMARY:IoT Security Foundation Conference 2022
DESCRIPTION:The 8th Annual IoT Security Foundation Conference is a one-day event that takes place on 5th October at the ILEC Conference Centre\, London. The Annual IoTSF Conference has built a loyal global following from the IoT stakeholder communities and is renowned for delivering high quality conference programmes. \nThe era of IoT describes the world as it transforms to be ever-digital and increasingly connected. Along with the power of digital comes the reciprocal cyber threat\, and we continue to witness an increasing number of attacks enabled by products that lack protection against well-known exploits\, have been badly configured or suffer from poor maintenance. This causes businesses to be hesitant\, concerns governments\, increases the likelihood of regulation and ultimately frustrates markets. \nVendors must build secure\, purchasers must buy secure\, and users must be secure: to be without security in a digital world is not an option. Society and industry need to fight back as no one should design\, buy\, or use a connected product\, service or system that lacks fit-for-purpose security. Yet there are no ‘one-size fits all’ security solutions – they are dependent on the application. Most of the attacks we see today can be effectively defended against\, many by relatively simple measures. Organisations need to be informed\, the solutions presented\, choices made\, and those choices need to be in keeping with their business context. \nWelcome to the 2022 IoT Security Foundation Conference where we aim to illuminate and educate delegates with an update on the threat landscape\, standards & regulation\, best practice\, next-practice and the latest developments in IoT cyber security. The IoTSF Conference features talks by leading cyber security experts and track sessions for executives\, developers\, engineers\, managers and security professionals. \nAs the World’s Longest Running IoT Security Conference\, this event attracts a wide range of decision makers\, including CEO’s\, CSO’s\, CTO’s\, Chief Security Strategists\, Directors\, Engineers\, Software and Hardware developers\, Development Managers\, Technical Directors\, Security Experts\, Academics\, Government and Press. The conference will be accompanied by a networking dinner for additional networking. \nSave 50% in the Super Early Bird Sale available to 31st May\, Secure Your Place Here\nThe conference will have a senior and expert level line up of speakers which are announced as part of the promotional activity and can be found on the conference website \nhttps://iotsfconference.com

SUMMARY:CENSIS 5th Technology Summit (IoTSF Promoted Event)
DESCRIPTION:CENSIS is Scotland’s centre of excellence for Sensor and Imaging Systems and the Internet of Things. Almost 400 people attended our 4th Tech Summit in 2017 and the event is fast establishing itself as a fixture on the Scottish tech scene and a growing national event for sensor systems and IoT. \nNow in its fifth year\, the event brings delegates together for a day of presentations\, exhibitions\, discussion and networking. This year’s theme is ‘disruption and disruptive technologies in sensor systems and IoT’\, and we have some great speakers lined up. The event also includes a large exhibition area\, with demonstrations from technology providers and near-to-market academic research groups. \nThe keynote address will be given by Hugo Fiennes\, CEO of Electric Imp and IoTSF member. Hugo led the hardware team at Apple for the first four generations of the iPhone\, before moving to Nest where he helped to build the Nest thermostat. It was during his time at Nest that Hugo realised connected devices were going to change the world for the better\, but only if they were secure\, maintainable\, and flexible\, and so Electric Imp was born. \nThe event is free to attend and exhibitor and sponsor opportunities are also available. \nFind out more and register your place here: https://censis.org.uk/2018/06/27/censis-5th-tech-summit

SUMMARY:TEISS 2018 (IoTSF Promoted Event)
DESCRIPTION:The award-winning TEISS (The European Information Security Summit) is now the largest and most comprehensive cyber security summit in Europe\, from the portfolio of Business Reporter.\nIt features parallel conferences on culture and education\, data and technology\, and on securing the Internet of Things – giving you three conferences in one. In addition\, it also features dedicated training sessions for small groups\, and the ability to build a bespoke agenda that suits your exact challenges.\nJoin 500+ Cyber Security and Information Technology professionals to discuss the latest issues.\nWHAT WILL BE DISCUSSED?\nThe forecast evolution of cyber crime\, and what we must do differently to combat it\nBest practices for instilling a pervasive corporate culture of cyber security\nSecuring data and identity across the cloud and outside the perimeter\nThe challenges and opportunities of identity management in the Internet of Things\nCreating agile systems that can adapt to new forms of attack\nImproving cyber security in the extended enterprise \nWHAT TO EXPECT\nCulture and Education session\nThe biggest challenge to getting cyber security right is not technology – it’s staff. Uneducated staff are the main point of weakness for hackers\, but training programmes are often too technical for most people to remember and many cyber security processes get in the way of daily work so are ignored. This stream will give case studies of training programmes that worked\, and steps that can be taken to mitigate the risk. \nPerfect for: CIO\, Chief Risk Officer\, CISO\, Head of Business Resilience\, Head of Business Intelligence\, Head of Business Continuity \nSecuring the Internet of Things session\nThe increasing number of connected devices massively increases the vulnerability of a corporate network. Many of these devices have no security protocols built in or registered with the IT department. This stream will look at best practices for managing security processes in the Internet of Things\, including estate management\, encryption and authentication. \nPerfect for: Head of Compliance\, Head of Privacy\, Head of Governance\, Chief Technical Architect and Head of IT Security. \nData and Technology session\nTechnology is changing\, and the hackers are using it too. That means it’s essential to understand what it can do\, how it can be used against you\, how it can benefit your security procedures\, and how it will change them. This stream will look at behavioural analysis\, machine learning\, AI\, quantum computing encryption\, and behaviour analytics\, in the context of both hacking and corporate usage. \nPerfect for: CTO\, CISO\,  Head of Data Security\, Head of Cloud\, Head of IT \nMore event info here: https://biztechevents.co.uk/teiss \nRegistration \nIoTSF Members can take advantage of 50% Ticket Discount by checking the Plenary Basecamp message board or emailing contact@iotsecurityfoundation.org
