DESCRIPTION:Living in the Internet of Things\n\nRealising the socioeconomic benefits of an interconnected world\n\n\n1 – 2 May 2019 | IET London: Savoy Place\nThe Internet of things (IoT) is the inter-networking of physical devices\, vehicles (also referred to as “connected devices” and “smart devices”)\, buildings\, and other items embedded with electronics\, software\, sensors\, actuators\, and network connectivity which enable these objects to collect and exchange data. \nAddressing cybersecurity of the Internet of Things this conference is organised in collaboration with the PETRAS Research Hub\, a consortium of nine leading UK universities working together to explore critical issues in privacy\, ethics\, trust\, reliability\, acceptability\, and security launched as part of the Government’s £32m investment in IoT. \nThe conference will provide insight into how society can benefit from the power of interconnected devices (the IoT) while remaining safe\, secure and resilient. \nThe event programme incorporates keynote plenary talks\, interactive panel discussions\, technical paper presentations\, poster displays and industry exhibition. \nThe potential disruptive and transformational effect of the Internet of Things means that it will inevitably have impact across sectors. \nFind out more and register your place here
