We’re seeking expressions of interest for an IoTSF cybercrime special interest group.
Some of the potential subjects, just as initial food for thought, could be:
– Botnets and distributed denial of service (DDoS)
– Ransomware targeting operational technology (OT)
– Data manipulation and telemetry tampering
– Credential theft and unauthorised access
– Cyber espionage and intellectual property theft
– Smart home and consumer surveillance
– Financial fraud and payment abuse
– Supply chain attacks
– Cryptojacking
– Physical sabotage and safety impacts
– AI-enabled IoT attacks
Please respond on the Plenary message board of our members’ platform if you like the idea of a cybercrime SIG.
Should there be sufficient interest, then a date will be set for an initial online meeting where the scope of the group can be agreed and a chair and co-chair agreed.
