Now in its 8th year, Copper Horse’s annual vulnerability disclosure report highlights improving adoption rates, continuing gaps in manufacturer readiness, and how retailers and regulators are working to improve connected product security.

This session will also explore the role of the upcoming Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and how it is expected to improve the adoption of vulnerability reporting, its impact on data collection and delivery of the 9th edition of the annual report.

David Rogers (Copper Horse)

David is the Founder of Copper Horse Ltd, a company providing mobile, IoT and connected car security expertise. The company is currently working on developing and securing AI models, security for the Internet of Things, mobile networks and for future connected, autonomous vehicles.

David was Chairman of the Fraud and Security Group at the GSMA from 2019-2025 and prior to that chaired its Device Security Group from 2013-2019. He authored the UK’s ‘Code of Practice for Consumer IoT Security’, in collaboration with UK government and industry colleagues and sat on the UK’s Telecoms Diversification Advisory Council until 2024.

He lectured in Mobile Systems Security at the University of Oxford from 2012-2019 and served as a Visiting Professor in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics at York St John University. From 2015-2022 he sat on the Executive Board of the Internet of Things Security Foundation.

David was awarded an MBE for services to Cyber Security in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2019.

Mark Neve (Copper Horse)

Mark is a career engineer with experience spanning embedded systems, IoT, mobile manufacturing, and automotive technologies.

He has contributed to large-scale commercial products and high-volume production environments, supporting millions of devices globally.

He has been involved in research and innovation cyber security projects across automotive, IoT, security, smart cities and AI.
